Summertime - come down to the pool!
Sandy Springs Sidewalk Project: Meeting was sparsely attended – Rainer Zeck, Heather Gentner, Landscape Committee, Unique Landscaping President, Ray Cioci and only 1 homeowner outside of our HOA. Not really anything in the plan that should be an issue for our neighborhood. Key points: · Timing – no earlier than Fall 2010. · Current project is along South side of Spalding from Mt. Vernon to Nesbitt Ferry. Of the 10 engineering drawings linked, only 2-6 pertain to our neighborhood’s frontage. · Will utilize our existing sidewalk which minimizes landscaping and irrigation disruption. Unique Landscaping assessing disruption. · Marked trees for surveying purposes only except for 4 Bradford Pears across from N. Spalding Lake Dr. which will be removed and replaced. · Includes repairing damaged metal guardrail just West of N. Spalding Lake Dr. · Replacing missing Crepe Myrtle across from club entrance (this might be the one hit by the January ice accident). · Will defer needed long term landscaping enhancements to South side of Spalding until after sidewalk project is complete. The Landscaping Committee, Heritage Mgt. and Board couldn't agree more on the present condition of the common areas and have ended our contract with the Procare. Sorry it has taken a little longer than Landscaping Committee and Board would have liked but we had to get numerous bids and evaluate the contracts to ensure the right company was chosen. Key Dates: · Play area start April 19, finish end of May · Clubhouse start April 19, finish end of June · Grill start April 22, finish May 27 · Swimming Pool start filling April 24, to be open May 22 for the weekend and daily after May 28. · Tennis Courts start April 22, finish before May 29 · Irrigation start April 21, finish April 29 · Bathrooms/Storage Building will be completed following Pool Close These dates subject to change due to rain delays, etc.
